The Cloisters

The Cloisters is home to our 91-year-old Mulberry tree which is of iconic significance to current Hamptonians and our alumni on account of its age. The tree has stood in the Cloisters for over 75 years and was first planted by A S Mason, Headmaster 1924 -50, when the School was located in the Upper Sunbury Road. It was moved to its current position in the Cloisters in 1939.

The Cloisters is also home to our gorgeous family of Hampton ducks! For over 25 years, a mother duck has travelled from the nearby Longford River, across the School fields to the Cloisters to safely bring her brood into the new world and we are delighted to welcome them each year.
